Southern Structures caters to
contractors in
the industrial and commercial market, as well as performing subcontracted work
for some of the area's larger fabricators such as Performance
Contractors, James Construction, Hebert Steel and Steel Fab of Monroe.
In-house detailing, utilizing SDS/2 and AutoCad is provided.
Professional engineers are on staff for connection design and sealing of
drawings. Computer-generated drawings are linked to our state-of-the-art
drill line,

angle line, plate line and plasma table allowing steel
projects to be produced seamlessly from engineering to fabrication.
Investment in equipment upgrades has allowed production to
increase 5 fold in the past 2 years and thereby making us well
suited to service any type of work. The fabrication plant is
equipped with 12 5-ton overhead cranes, 2 10-ton overhead cranes
and 20 jib cranes.

Decking can be fabricated or
supplied with ease.
Southern Structures has computer-operated a Peddinghous Drill
Line and 44" Hem Saw. Conveyers and transfer tables are
utilized to feed the equipment and shop which allows for faster
processing and less handling. The Franklin Angle Line is capable
of cutting L8x8x3/4 and Bar 3/4x8. We also house a High
Definition Plasma allowing for precise fabrication of base
plates, connection plates, and split tees.
