Southern Structures was founded in 1967 and currently employs 100 team members with extensive steel fabrication experience. Corporate offices and state-of-the-art fabrication facilities are located on 25 acres in Broussard, Louisiana, 15 miles south of Lafayette on LA Highway 92.  

The production facility has 200,000 square feet enclosed building manufacturing and fabrication space, of which 70,000 is dedicated to the structural division.

In 2006, Southern installed a new 8" X 8" X 1" Franklin Angle Line, and a 1.5" X 22" Franklin plate processor, as well as an Altra High-Definition Plasma with a 16' X 68' cut-table with dual head and 3" capacity. In 2007, a new Peddinghaus 1100 Drill Line with a double mitre twin-column band saw will be placed in service.

This roll out of all new equipment gives us the capacity of producing 700 tons of structural and miscellaneous fabrication per month.
