Southern Structures precision engineering is performed by our advanced software which generates high-level computer schematics in four phases of increasingly refined detail. This detailed information guides our every cut and our every weld. At all phases, its accuracy is ensured through exacting standards.
Initial engineering design based on dimensions, requirements & loads.
Erection drawings provide a plan and elevation for the steel erector. The anchor bolt setting plan details the location, size and number of anchor bolts for the erector.
Detailing determines the precise number and size of building members, all associated hardware and creates a shipping list.
Shop fabrication drawings detail how each piece of steel is fully fabricated to fit the building exactly and are then downloaded to the plant.
